Uncovering the Unseen
The last couple of weeks revealed how others have honed into holding space for self. We’ve been gifted with the care of these stories — stories describing how some have moved out of dark places, how mobility has brought joy in their relationships, how it has helped shift biases and invited unlearning, and even brought out the mindset of experimentation when a child runs with her sheep.
Life is unscripted. So we embrace it daily. We’ve been sharing about this work in communities in this same unscripted way. Our training together invites that same spirit into the learning space.
This week, we pivoted in the moment — moving beyond the script in virtual classrooms, in facilitated events, in speaking and sharing, and even in personal conversations. We continue to curate spaces that attract stories and learning.
From the feedback we receive in speaking and teaching, there is a thirst to understand more about the art of the heart in how we facilitate and hold space. There is a distinction that they are not the same. There is a hunger to experiment with this gap between facilitation and holding space.
In writing this book about the mindset of mobility, we have been able to unearth the unseen and what we do unconsciously. From this, we have created a new offering to help others hold space with empathy and mobility.
Our story curation has not ended. Voices that we wish to tap into may now lie outside of North America. We have interviewed over 50 people and have reached out to parts of Africa, China, Europe, and New Zealand. If you have interviewed with us and know of voices in other parts of the world and with varied backgrounds, we would love an introduction.
Journeying in mobility,
Mark & April
